5 minutes into that phone call I find out that Mr Babb LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING. He did NOT reserve the truck for me. He NEVER entered it into the computer. This was 110% HIS FAULT, which he never admitted to, making up a story to blame UHAUL instead.
The 20 foot truck cost us $50+ more in mileage and extra gas and it was TOO SMALL. We did not have any room left to get items from the 2nd location so now we have to rent another truck this weekend and waste more money due to this TOTALLY ridiculous business!
Do NOT rent a UHAUL from these people!!
Last weekend we were moving and needed to rent a UHAUL. I dropped by this place the week before to reserve a UHAUL truck. I explained the whole thing to the guy working there (not sure on fist name, last name was Babb) and we talked about truck sizes and such and I settled on the 26 foot truck that was parked out front. I had chosen this location to pick up the truck because we were moving items from our home AND from a storage unit in another town into our new house. While there he wrote down my info while doing something on the computer and also gave me his card. He said I had reserved the truck. He told me to be there Saturday by 1pm to pick the truck up because he had to go out of town and was closing early.

Saturday i got there at 11am. We had planned out the next 36 hours of moving on paper and were ready to get started. I noticed when I pulled in the parking lot that the 26 foot truck was gone. I walked in and he said he did not have a truck for me, then proceeded to make up a story (more on that later) about how because he was just an "authorized location" and not an "area manager" with UHAUL that they could just come take his trucks ANY time and there was nothing he could do about it. I asked him WTF I was supposed to do as I had people ready and waiting to help us move and we had to be out of our current house. He started calling around other UHAUL rental locations. NONE of them had a 26 foot truck. NOT A SINGLE ONE. Because, DUH, who the heck waits till the exact moment you need a truck to go find one??!! He finally found a 20 foot truck 20 minutes out of the way both directions (uhaul charges $0.89 a mile on weekends) which I really had no choice but to go get because we HAD to move. He writes the name and address of the place down, slides it across the desk to me and starts playing with his cell phone. Does not say a WORD> no apology or anything! I walk out of the office nearly in tears and immediately call UHAUL to report this "business".
